Azelaic Acid Serum — Dossier

Azelaic Acid,
Isolated
A nine-carbon acid, HPPA, and hyaluronic acid — for dark spots, post-blemish marks, and uneven-looking tone.
Long before it reached a dropper bottle, azelaic acid was already doing this work — quietly, in wheat, rye, and barley, and on skin, made naturally by the yeast that lives there. Cosmecell isolates it, pairs it with HPPA and hyaluronic acid, and gives it one job: fading what lingers, evening what's uneven.

Mechanism
How It Reads Your Skin
Melanin overproduction starts with a single enzyme, tyrosinase. Azelaic acid competes for its attention, slowing the reaction that turns tyrosine into the pigment that surfaces as a dark spot or a mark left behind by a blemish.
It works more quietly on keratinization too — encouraging skin to shed and renew at a steadier pace, which is part of why a nine-carbon acid derived from grain is tolerated by skin that reacts to sharper ones.
Nine carbons, two acid ends — the full chain of azelaic acid
